To be a centre of excellence for children, women and

families that delivers high quality care witH

 compassion, courage and commitment through

listening, hearing and action’

We provide a safe, high-quality, woman-centred service in a clean and welcoming environment at our maternity units in Princess Royal, Haywards Heath and Royal Sussex County, Brighton. Our maternity services offer a choice of services including homebirth and our facilities include fully equipped labour wards and neonatal intensive care.

Each woman will be treated as an individual and respect will be given to their needs and those of their families, recognising that this is a partnership and sharing of information will help to achieve a happy healthy pregnancy and birth.

Trust core values will be integral to the provision of maternity services, and support, respect, integrity and responsibility will be shown to women, visitors and our colleagues. This will encourage an environment where holistic care is delivered and promoted through lifelong learning, and challenge is healthy and welcomed to encourage development and growth.

A commitment to normality will be fostered, enabling choice, flexibility and confidence to all women in our care. Safety will be paramount and midwives commit to practice reliable evidence based midwifery. We look forward to taking care of you and working in partnership when you choose to have your baby with Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust
